Call for Students and Independent Shorts
The Philadelphia Film Society is reaching out to the student and independent filmmakers of Philadelphia for new and innovative short films. The mission of the PFS is to unite current film-lovers and ignite new interest in Philadelphia. A step toward reaching that goal is exposing Philadelphia to the work of local up-and-coming talent. The PFS hosts dozens of events throughout the year in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Often times at these events there is a space for a short screening. In an effort to continue to showcase new films, PFS is extending an open call for student and independent short films.
Films will be kept on record for two years with the option to renew if desired. When a film is selected for screening, the entrant will be contacted and given information about the event, as well as complimentary tickets. At these screenings, the filmmaker will be recognized and given a few minutes to speak or answer questions, depending on the format of the event.
This is a great opportunity to have your work screened for some of the most passionate film-goers on the east coast.
