The Friends of the Wanamaker Organ join with the Philadelphia Film Society to present the recently-restored 1927 silent classic in the Macy's Grand Court. Peter Richard Conte will improvise an accompaniment using the full resources of the Wanamaker Organ while incorporating many of the 'signature tunes' from the original Gottfried Huppertz score.
Tickets are available now. There is also a package available that includes a special pre-concert party starting at 7 pm in Greek Hall, with wine and hors d'oeuvres, a brief talk on the film and theatre- organ music on our Wurlitzer by Rudy Lucente.
